The F12 Roadster was DKW's last attempt at producing a sports car. Just two years before the brand went under, the F12 Roadster was launched in 1964 to reconnect to the glorious past of the Auto Union 1000 Sp. Only 2730 units of this car were built in 1964 and 1965.

This car cannot have seen much use as it still displays its 1965 New Mexico tag.

This car may be for sale. If interested, please make me an offer! I have recently purchased three cars and I need to sell at least one of them to help pay for the restoration of the other two.

The body is in almost perfect shape. A few dings here and there, but nothing major. The left rear fender is missing, but we picked a straight and rust-free one off a sedan in the same yard. Still a number of parts are missing or have suffered from the desert sun, so I am looking for a F12 parts car. The parts car should have decent interior, a front hood, a decent windshield, and a running engine; everything else does not matter. If you have or know of one, please contact me.
Well, this should make clear, why I need a parts car. It is amazing how much damage the sun can do in 35 years ...
Now, this is the god part: a perfect undercarriage. No undercoating ever, just original paint with what I believe is the factory wax rust-proofing. Yes, the shiny white thing on the right is the spare wheel well. This will be my first restoration that does not involve any welding.
